History VonWinckelmann

In the fourth year of the third millennium, the last descendant, Franklin, of the aristocratic Von Winckelmann family decided to immortalize his noble family name by founding an innovative brand. The family name has been written in the original 16th century script and the authentic greyhound of their dignified coat of arms has been stylized into a logo for the 21st century. Together they characterize an unconventional brand stemming from classical traditions.

History worn organic by VonWinckelmann

To emphasize its involvement in the environment VonWinckelmann is taking its message an important step further. The year 2006 marked the date that VonWinckelmann and worn(r-)evolution started to focus on developing and producing fashion apparel in a honest and Fair Trade manner.
In collaboration with the Dutch Organisations ICCO and Dutch Design in Development Franklin von Winckelmann had the priviledge, in 2007, of acting as advising consultant to a Paraguayen textile company that supplies international customers with organic cotton from seed to the manufacture of consumer products.
After the completion of this project, he chose to specialize in the production of organic, sustainable and fair trade fashion apparel. In cases where the implementation of this is not possible fair trade conditions are accomodated and projects to accomplish environment and labor control are initiated.
The VonWinckelmann collection has been produced according to the GOTS Global Organic Textile Standards which are: 100% organic cotton, sustainable and Fair Trade.
